Earn Your Spot: Team Alberta Tryouts 2026



Field Hockey Alberta is now accepting registrations for the 2026 Team Alberta Provincial Program Tryouts. This program offers athletes performance development training opportunities and competitions, with a pathway to represent Alberta at regional and national events.

2026 Teams will include:

  • 2 U17 Boys teams at FHC Nationals
  • 1 U18 Boys team at FHBC Nationals
  • 1 U18 Girls team at FHC Nationals
  • 1-2 U16 Girls teams at FHC Nationals

Tryout Details

Tryouts will take place over two weekends at Hawkings Field, University of Calgary:

Weekend 1: April 17-19

Weekend 2: April 24 & 26

Final session times will be shared after the registration deadline

Program Pathway

Athletes will be selected to Alberta Provincial Squads, with future selections for Team Alberta.

Depending on numbers, selected athletes will compete in at least one regional competition (BC Regionals and/or India Club), with final selections advancing athletes to Nationals.

Selection Timeline

  • April 29 - Provincial Squads announced
  • May 1 - BC Regionals teams announced
  • June 7 - Team Alberta (Nationals) announced
