Provincial Program 2025 Spring/Summer
Field Hockey Alberta Provincial Trials: Rise to the Challenge!
Prepare for 2-3 weekends of fierce competition at the Field Hockey Alberta Provincial Trials, happening April 19-20, April 25-27, May 4, and May 11. Across various age groups - U16 Boys, U18 Boys, U16 Girls, and U18 Girls - athletes will undergo rigorous assessment to secure their spot in the Nationals.
When and Where? The trials will be held at Hawkings Field, with training times strategically scheduled to maximize performance. May 4 and May 11 sessions will take place at Ernest Manning Athletic Park.
Trial Schedule:
Week 1 - April 19-20
Week 2/3 - April 25-27, May 4, May 11
What to Expect: Get ready to showcase your talent and determination. From precision passes to defensive prowess, every aspect of your game will be put to the test.
Attendance: While we understand that athletes and families may be out of town during one or two of the trial weekends, it is important that we ensure fair participation and selection for all athletes. If you are not able to attend any of the trial dates, please send an email to programs@fieldhockey.ab.ca. In this email, please describe a detailed reason for your absence, along with information regarding your field hockey experience, what you would bring to a provincial team, and why you would like to participate in the provincial program. Limited attendance at trials MAY impact the athletes' selection on the provincial team.
Cost and Registration: Trials are split into two separate packages.
Road to Nationals: For those who make the cut, the journey continues. U18 Nationals await in Brampton, Ontario, from July 24 to 29, 2025, while U16 Nationals are also in Brampton, from July 31 to August 5, 2025. It's time to elevate your game and leave your mark on the national stage.
