ROYAL OAK COMMUNITY 
CO-ED FIELD HOCKEY PROGRAM SPRING 2024

For boys and girls born January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2017.  Athletes born in 2018 will be considered on a case by case basis.

Beginners Welcome!

Children may be broken into 2 groups based on skill and age:  U10 and U8. Athletes require stick, mouthguard, runners or turf shoes (no cleats). Sticks may be borrowed, (with security deposit) or purchased at time of registration. Socks and program shirt will be provided.

U8 Funstix
Participants are introduced to fundamental movements in order to develop and discover physical literacy,  confidence, fun and build a love for field hockey thru mini games (such as hungry hippos, clean your room, pirates, toilet tag), parachute play and 3v3 games. Includes weekday practice, 2 Festivals and Sunday Fundays.

U10
The U10 Coed program will build off of skills learned in Funstix including: ball control, passing, receiving, shooting, tackling. Athletes will participate in weeknight practice, 2 Festivals, and Sunday U10 Co-Ed Mini League.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All athletes regardless of club affiliation must purchase a FHA/FHC membership for the period of September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024. Those purchasing the Complete Outdoor Package will also need to buy the 2024-2025 membership on September 1, 2024 ($5 for children aged 12 and under)
