FIELD HOCKEY YOUTH SUMMER CAMPS 2023
- Week long half day camps, filled with field hockey, fun games and activities. New participants welcome!

- Located at the Hawking Field Hockey Turf, on the University of Calgary campus, west of the Olympic Oval

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our goal is to deliver a fun experience where kids have the opportunity to make new friends, develop personal skills and create a life long love of sport. We plan our programs around Field Hockey Canada's Long Term Hockey Development framework and the Coach Association of Canada's (CAC) Long Term Athlete Development guidelines to ensure appropriate physical and developmental needs are met for all children. We are an athlete focused program ready to adapt the needs of each child.
OUR PARTICIPANTS
You are welcome here! Whether this is the first time you've participated in a team sport, are looking for something to complement an existing sport or have played field hockey in the past, this is a place for your child to thrive and grow.
Participants will be split into the following age categories and grouped according to skill level:
- U8 - born January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2016
- U10 - born January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014
- U14 - born January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2012
OUR COACHES
The safety of your child is our primary responsibility. Our coaches are screened and have completed athlete specific training, including: Ethics, Concussion Awareness and CAC Safesport. We follow the Rule of Two and ensure small athlete to coach ratios tailored to the age of your child.
SESSION 1 - Monday July 17 to Friday July 21, 2023
Location: University of Calgary, Hawking’s Turf
Times: 09:00 am - 12:00 pm
Cost: $250 for 5 x 3 hr morning sessions (plus cost of FHA membership)
SESSION 2 - Tuesday August 8 to Friday August 11, 2023
Location: University of Calgary, Hawking’s Turf
Times: 09:00 am - 12:00 pm
Cost: $200 for 4 x 3 hr morning sessions (plus cost of FHA membership)
NOTE: No camp on Holiday Monday (August 7, 2023)
