Provincial Programs
FHA offers programs from ages U14 through the senior age group on an annual basis. The major programs that we run include the provincial outdoor season which runs from April through July each year and the provincial indoor season which runs from October through March each year.

Camps

Local High Performance Academies
FHA offers HP Academies for our provincial team athletes at various times throughout the year. Especially during provincial season down times (Fall, early spring). During these sessions athletes are selected into specific training groups based on experience, physical abilities, tactical knowledge and technical skill. Edmonton Junior Field Hockey Program
FHA began a spring field hockey program in Edmonton during the spring of 2009 for the first time in many years. This is a program that will continue within Edmonton and the surrounding area for years to come. The programs are for ages 5 up to 14, we are very excited about this program and hope to you see you out there!!

 Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association Programs
We support the local leagues and programs operating in Alberta. The CSHSAA and FHA have formed a strong partnership in order to increase the quality and quantity of athletes in Calgary. We have goals to increase the number of schools and participants within Calgary and eventually the rest of the province.

 Calgary Junior Field Hockey Program
FHA, CLFHA and FHAC have collaborated to create the Calgary Junior Field Hockey Program. For more details on all the programs ran year round please visit the CJP website.

CIS Field Hockey
Alberta is home to two of the top field hockey schools in Canada, the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary. The Pandas and the Dinos season begins in September of each year and continues through to the CIS National Championships at the beginning of November of each year. FHA will continue to support and provide details about their seasons on an annual basis as the CIS field hockey league is vital to our national programs and communities.

Local Leagues
In Calgary we have three major leagues operating. A ladies only league called the Calgary Ladies Field Hockey Association. A co-ed and mens only league called the Field Hockey Association of Calgary and the Calgary Junior Program, which is run in partnership with the two local leagues and Field Hockey Alberta. Edmonton is home to a league operating under the name the Edmonton Field Hockey Association, this league consists of an adult co-ed league which operates all year with indoor and outdoor programs. Field hockey is played in other centres within Alberta, for more details on the other centres in which field hockey is currently being played please contact the FHA office.
