High Performance Academies

  
 

FHA HP Academy Vision
We provide technical and tactical skill development sessions. The goal of these programs is to provide outdoor skills training to our high performance athletes during the provincial outdoor off season. FHA will be incorporating Stage 4 & 5 of the Long Term Athlete Development Strategy. Stage 4 is Training to Train for athletes between the age of 12 & 15. Stage 5 is the Training to Compete for athletes between 16 and 19 years of age. The LTAD Strategy is a recent development in Canada that all sports are implementing. We will be implementing various disciplines for each stage which include Physical, Technical, Tactical, Mental and Health living skills. For more details about the HP Academies please read below. Fall Academies
The fall academy will be held in Calgary at Hawkings Field, University of Calgary. Coaches will include coaches from our current provincial teams. Athletes will be divided up based on experience, physical, tactical and technical abilities.

Winter Academies
FHA offers programs from ages U14 through the senior age group on an annual basis. The major programs that we run include the provincial outdoor season which runs from April through July each year and the provincial indoor season which runs from October through March each year.

Upcoming Events
FHA is renewing a familiar tournament in 2010. We will be hosting the 1st Annual Alberta Cup, this year we will host a club championships for the first time in many years. FHA will also be hosting the 2010 Canada Cup, the premier U18 tournament in Canada.
